Desert Mountain FICS is currently accepting applications for the position of Family Support Counselor II. Under the supervision of an assigned Wraparound Supervisor or other Wraparound Staff, the Family Support Counselor II is responsible for providing services; which may include, metal health support services, behavior management, substance abuse counseling, crisis intervention and stabilization, and case management. These services are rendered to youth and their families and/or care providers referred for services to the FICS Family Vision Wraparound program.

Essential Requirements:
1. 60 units plus two years experience or four years experience in a related field or Bachelor’s Degree or other certification as required for the position.
2. Must be willing to complete a personal background investigation conducted by the State of California.
3. Must be able to work varied days and hours including nights and weekends.
4. Must be willing to work within a culturally integrated workplace, and be willing to respect human differences based upon race, age, handicap, religion etc.
5. Must be willing to work professionally as a team member on a multi-disciplinary, multi-agency team in a public setting, with strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
6. Must be capable of obtaining First aid and CPR Certification
7. Must have basic oral and written English language skills.
Desired Requirements:
1. Strong behavior management skills, specialized certification or credentials as required for site specific positions.
2. Previous experience working with the public and government agencies, experience working in a school environment
