(Family Intervention and Community Support)

"Keeping Families Together"
Is Our Goal!

Since 1997, the Desert Mountain team has partnered with San Bernardino County to provide intensive community-based family support services focused on reducing group home placement and psychiatric hospitalization. Our services revolve around our philosophy of "doing whatever it takes" to keep children safely at home with their families.

  Desert Mountain FICS, Victorville, CA
The Desert Mountain Family Intervention and Community Support (FICS) program is located in Victorville, a fast-growing desert community that provides services to children and families of this area. The high desert, with a population of 64,900 boasts all the amenities of a large Southern California City while still maintaining the quaint and quiet atmosphere of a small town. With clean air, affordable housing, and a location which allows a short commute to crystal beaches, snowcapped mountains and big cities such as Los Angeles as well as recreational areas like Las Vegas, it is no wonder that people from all over the country are choosing Victorville as their home. In Victorville, you can enjoy shopping at our "world class" mall during the day and in the evening treat yourself to a beautiful sunset from the porch of a custom built home.

A team of highly qualified staff assesses the specific needs of each family and tailors an individualized comprehensive treatment plan to meet those needs. We offer alternatives to "out of home placement" by offering structured twenty-four hour crisis and case management services. We strengthen families by providing a blend of innovative clinical services and a connection with relevant community resources. We employ systems for positive change that includes the family as team members helping eachother to reach agreed-upon goals.
