Located in East Stockton among the farms and vineyards of the San Joaquin Valley, this rural setting provides care for 42 children in need of specialized mental health treatment. The youths reside in seven attractive, family-style homes in quiet neighborhoods. Nearby foothills, local parks, and convenient community entertainment centers offer many recreational opportunities.

With the supervision and guidance of well-trained professional counselors, the youth have the opportunity to enjoy many leisure activities and develop the social skills that allow them to progress toward becoming responsible adults. In keeping with the mission of Victor Treatment Centers, Inc., all activities of RYS are directed toward providing the treatment, care, supervision and instruction to our high-risk children and families in a manner that enriches their lives through personal responsibility, dignity, and independence. Now, and into their future.

Since the foundation Regional Youth Services in 1982, we have specialized in serving severely mentally and emotionally disturbed youths who have had a history of treatment and/or placement failures. With support and encouragement from family and treatment professionals, the children in our care work day by day to attain their personal goals established at the time of intake.

In addition to the range of services provided by all the Victor programs, Regional Youth Services provides the following specialized features:
  • Intensive services for youth functioning at the developmental level of latency-age children requiring additional supervision and assistance with basic life skills.
  • SHILOH RIDE- a therapeutic horseback riding program providing riding activities that support the specifically identified physical, emotional, and intellectual goals of each child.
  • Vocational training and emancipation preparation.
  • Special recreational opportunities to encourage reintegration into the civic community.
