Welcome to Victor

Recently I was excited to participate in a tour of one of our sites with several members of our Board of Directors. As we shared lunch with several children and staff we were deeply moved by the commitment and passion expressed by our staff - and by the impact we could see on the lives of the youth who shared their stories with us. In a nutshell, this is Victor.

We are an organization of three non-profit entities committed to service excellence through relationships. These simple bold words capture the essence of both who we are, and who we are continually striving to be. Our evolution, our growth, and our culture are based on a dedication to living our values. We are committed to "walking the talk" and to staying focused on our mission "to be a catalyst for sustained improvement in the lives of those we touch."

Victor exists to serve others. Our mission, values and priorities are all predicated on maintaining an unwavering commitment to helping those in need. This begins with assisting the children and families we serve, our public and private partners, and to our internal standards of helping and supporting the growth of our staff. Spend 30 minutes in any Victor site, any program, talk with our staff who dedicate their professional lives to service...and you will feel the gifts that come from helping others.

We at Victor want to do great things. We want to help others soar to their greatest potential. Soaring requires a pressure for excellence. We hold ourselves to high standards, to go above and beyond, to work hard. Excellence is never easy. It requires setting big goals, real teamwork and an honest self assessment of how well we are doing. With high expectations and support from others we have a track record of service and organizational excellence we are proud of.

Victor is about people and respectful, positive relationships. We focus on personal goals, individual strengths and striving to be the best we can be. Victor operates from a "web of connectedness;" understanding that our success requires the cumulative efforts of many. The strength of a spider web comes from it's interconnectedness, not from any individual strand. We understand that people want and need to feel apart of something bigger than themselves. Children need to be a part of a family; staff a part of an agency they are proud of; and organizations a part of a system that works. It is through our mutual respect and connectedness with others that we are able to promote growth and healing.

Whether you are a family in need, a current or potential staff member, an agency or school seeking services, a potential donor, or a curious community member we welcome you to Victor! We need you to fulfill our mission, to live our values and to help us transform lives.
