North Valley School Perris has been serving students in Riverside County with severe emotional disabilities since 2008, helping children and youth realize their educational potential and achieve greater levels of independence and success. The school maintains an intensive focus on supporting and nurturing academic excellence while attending to those additional supports the students need to manage behavior and make safe and productive daily choices. The school structure includes 360 minutes of instruction per day as well as an extended school year program. The school is certified for grades 6 through12 and utilizes a state standardized based curriculum combined with individualized learning programs. North Valley School Perris Campus operates with a philosophical foundation that includes community based learning and mental health support in each classroom, all of which is coordinated through the Individualized Education Plan and Behavioral Case Management services.
Our North Valley School Perris not only provides highly individualized educational and mental health services, but also has established numerous innovative programs to ensure our students receive training and support beyond the classroom. The school offers a Workability program in conjunction with Vocational Education that provides vocational and employment training for those students nearing transitional age. Nutritional and Cooking classes offer students a chance to learn health and wellness strategies while also learning independent living skills. Creative arts are promoted as an avenue for creative expression, increased self understanding, self esteem enhancement, and the identification of unique talents and passions on the part of our students.
